What Was Your Gateway Horror Movie?

Scream. It started my life long love for horror. It’s cliche I know but Randy Meeks started it for me. I always thought if this Killer called me, I would know all the answers to the horror questions he asked me, to “survive”.

Why Do You Think Queer Audiences Connect So Deeply With Horror?

Survival. Growing up it was always looking over your shoulder, wondering if you are gonna make it home safe. The Final Girls and Final Boys they were our idols. We wanted to be them we wanted to survive!

What Queer Horror Creator, Actor, Or Character Inspires You Most?

Justin Long, he was my first official Scream King that I fell in love with from his parts in Jeepers Creepers as Darry. And he also plays wacky funny characters. And he’s a known LGBT Ally.

What Horror Themes Resonate With You Most?

Kinda goes back to what I said earlier, Survival resonates with me. Being Gay in the South it always “Am I going to be Safe.” Am I going to Survive this year.”

What's Your Go-To Comfort Horror Movie?

Easy, Bride of Chucky! I say this because I can literally quote this entire film especially Tiffany’s Lines! It campy, stupid, and just plain a good time. Very Creative Kills and the story is just a fun one! “Barbie, Eat Your Heart Out”

What's One Underrated Horror Movie Everyone Should Watch?

Idle Hands. It’s Devon Sawa and Jessica Alba. Seth Green. It’s more of a Horror Comedy. It’s always on my list to watch during Halloween.
